Our Story

Kato En Farm began in the winter of 2022, when an ambitious young couple and their two children moved to a wild, forested property in the heartland of New York state.

While the husband got busy renovating their new fixer upper home, the wife dreamt of getting animals—specifically horses. At the time, they didn’t have enough clear land for horses, so the wife searched for other livestock they could bring onto their property. She quickly settled on goats!

Our First Goat!

A brown and black Cashmere goat with long, curved horns standing on green grass in a field with trees in the background.

That summer, we welcomed our first goat, a 3 year old cashmere buck named “LGF Zircon.” We didn’t know anything about Cashmere goats back then but we loved him so much, we later purchased his brother, “LGF Onyx,” and many more cashmere goats followed after.

Eventually we got the horses too! =)
